It's often I'm approached by people after shows and they have something to say along the lines of "you should be more well known" and comments like that.
I just would like to say I'm always up for the opportunity for sharing my music with many people. The difference between what I do with my music and what others you hear of more often do is important to be aware of.
I'm not on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter - all that stuff is a modern brainwash. It's sad to see so many people sold on it - and horrifying. I'm a fan of the telephone and sitting across a table from someone talking (unless the music wherever we're sitting is just too good or too loud to ingore!) Business can and still be conducted that way. These modern day popularity contests and psuedo networking takes the soul out of it for someone like me. Look back in the past and who I remember and feel fondest about are people I met in person with my guitar.
A final word on what music is becoming these days. There's lots of great music everywhere and too much in the way of finding it. Too many distractions and other things to do. The world is conditioned to be overwhelmed and in defense has shorter attention spans. Being rewarded by anything means you gave it a chance to grow on you and let it become part of your life. Thanks for listening. This music is genuinely for you.
