This has been a very turbulent period for the past year and there have been many changes. I'm spending my time recovering emotionally and spiritually from the passing in November of my father, Jules Frechette, and physically from the past two years of near-constant touring and performing. My apologies to all the show producers I had to cancel shows from August until recently.
I have a tour out to Alberta this spring and a festival in the summer (Edmonton Folk Festival) but no other serious plans to tour are forthcoming at the moment. Taking a hiatus to come back out with some good music in the future.
In the meantime there's rumblings of a new Duhks album maybe containing a song I wrote and Dervish is on YouTube singing My Bride and I very nicely. You can watch that video here:
I'm also staying close to home and doing some local shows and attending the odd jam session. I've been playing backup guitar in the Dusty Roads Band, who have pretty much every hopping style covered in one band.
